Plot: Upon hearing of her mother’s death, jaded teenage loner Purslane Hominy Will returns to New Orleans for the first time in years, ready to reclaim her childhood home. so last night I went on a date.?
I think it went pretty horrible, but let me give you the events leading up to it.
So for about the month before we went on this dates, I started talking to this kid(lets call him Bobby). Now Bobby was currently unsure if he was in a relationship or not. I met him on myspace, which I know looks bad, but my cousins knew him because they had graduated with him. Anyway, this girl liked him and he liked her, but she isn’t allowed to date and she was a year younger than us, semi-pretty.(lets call her Jenna) Now him and Jenna both have myspaces and they have each other on their tops, and so-on. Now. Bobby is in a band, he writes songs, almost all of them are about Jenna, his myspace names were about Jenna.[they were usually i love you so much/your the best thing that ever happened to me] now he wasn’t sure if he was in a relationship or not, so i thought what was the hurt in flirting. i think his myspace pics were from a long time ago, when he had short hair. but he had current ones of his stomach and his abs. so we were flirting back in forth for about a month, my friend Nicole had gotten a new screen name and gave me her old one so I could talk to him and he would think it was someone else, now i now this seems mean but i needed to get more information, I’ve never met the kid before. now we agreed that we would hang out but we didn’t know when, so we just continued flirting. by the fist week of the next month, we had decided that the next Friday we were going to go see a movie. the week of the date the date, i was on Nicole’s screen name, i saw on his profile a mention about Jenna, that i hadn’t seen before, so i asked him who Jenna was, he said his girlfriend, now, i asked all my friends about it and they said well why not gave him a chance. so i did. i felt like i was on the episode of degrasii:the next generation when Darcy meets that perv online (http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0049794/ filmoseries#tt0288937 read synopsis of #19-20 to better understand).as soon as i got there he was slouched over, hands in his pocket, just looking, he was pale, had black hair that covered half of his eyes. i didn’t like i. his nose was a bit pointer than in his pictures, and he had braces which made him look a bit geekier because of his skin-tone. i thought i should run into the theater and pretend i hadnt seen him. but he had my number, he would be txting me. so i walked over said hello gave him a cheek to cheek kiss. and told him to follow. i introduced him to my friends, none of them actually saw him, it was dark in the theater, so they couldn’t really give opinions. i already knew what they would say. we sat down, about 5 minutes later, he called my name softly i looked at him, he said i never got to give you a hello kiss, he kissed my cheek and seemed to linger their as if he was smelling me, he probably would have smelled fear if he was a dog. i was petrified in my head i was screaming, asking him not to. so he kissed me and whispered you look even better in person. my stomach dropped into the pit of my stomach. i felt like a-a- i don’t know what i felt like, i still don’t. it made me feel dirty though. I’ve never met this kid before, but he’s seen pictures of me online, and now hes telling me i look better in person. he kissed me several time on the cheek and i just looked at him gave him a small smile and then moved a little bit closer to my friend on my other side. so end of the night he was expecting (and i know he was expecting) a make out session, so what do i do, i go to the bathroom, text Nicole whose at the movies and she texts bobby. listen your date is feeling well, she wants to go home, but thinks it would be rude to leave you there, so i wouldn’t advise trying to kiss her because she might like puke in your face. anyway. enjoy the rest of your date. but end of the night he asked me are you leaving now, and i was like yeah my moms out back. and he was like you want me to walk you to your car, and i grabbed Nicole, no its okay Nicole is coming home with me, we’ll be fine. he said okay and went to kiss my lips. Nicole "tripped" and accidentally "fell into me" and made me turn my head so all bobby got was cheek. it finally hit me that i might have been the girl on the side, i didn’t want to be that girl so. we walked a little bit, and watched him from a short distance away, saw him get into his car, and we got up to rejoin our friends. about 10 minutes after he left he texted me, i had a good time with you. i didn’t answer back. I’ve been avoiding him ever since.
here’s my question to you. how do i let him down easy. :[

Honestly, I don’t think it’s nice to judge someone by their looks. If you talked to him online and he had a nice personality, just tell him he was trying to move too fast and go out with him alone. Try to get to know him more.

i agree with emma lynn. its not real connetion between the two of you and its never good to be the girl on the side. so just txt him and say i had a good time with you but honestly your not my type and i hope we can still be good friends.

1. Why are you making the first move?
2. Why the heck are you using a fake screen name?
3. Did you actually talk to the guy on the phone at all before the date?
4. Ok, him telling you you look better in person was a compliment. It doesn’t make him a "perv". The line 3 makes someone a PERV. (ie. You are a PERV)
4b. How conceited are you? Just because the guy wasn’t what you expected he is a perv now? You contacted him.You used a profile that wasn’t yours to talk to him, but he is the perv, because he wasn’t hot.
The whole you look better in person thing comes from the fact that, well, every one on myspace looks worse in person usually, as you found out. You actually put up current or realistic pictures and I do applaud you for that.
5. Stop comparing real life to TV.
6. Stop showing interest in guys who are interested in someone else.
OK to answer your question. If you want to get rid of the guy just admit to him how much of a PERV you were, and he will probably be pissed off enough to leave you alone.
